A WORD
FROM THE EDITOR-IN-CHIEF

Nora Grundová

Harper’s Bazaar is entering its 30th year here in the Czech Republic. Over the years, it has developed and grown, as has the Czech woman, and it has been by her side throughout. If anyone is wondering whether there is any point in creating and reading magazines in this Internet age, believe me that there is. The online world is great, fast, flexible and endless, but we also need to spend time offline. Time spent off the Internet is both healthy and rewarding. And for times like these, Harper’s Bazaar is here as a guide to the world of the adult woman who is already aware of her strengths and weaknesses, who knows what she has accomplished and what she expects from life. Fashion, the body beautiful, cosmetics and a healthy lifestyle are still essential parts of the Harper’s Bazaar DNA. The modern woman is not a slave to trends, but she does take an interest in them and chooses what fashionable designs and the most luxurious brands suit her best.

Harper’s Bazaar is a magazine that perfectly embodies the reason print was created. We want to learn about ourselves, how we live and whether we could live a better life; we want to be inspired and discover how to live as meaningful and happy a life as possible. Together with our readers, we are seeking the place of the modern woman who makes decisions about her life, her career, her family and her privacy. And how to stay beautiful as she does so.
